Activities around Pacbitun Farm: Rio Frio Caves

From the massive 70 foot arches at both ends of this cave to the room sized boulders and impressive chandelier-like stalactites hanging from the cave’s ceiling, this cave astounds new explorers as it did myself. Standing in front of the cave, visitors are dwarfed by the expansiveness of the opening that beckons them forward. Located near Augustine, in Mountain Pine Ridge, it is a perfect cool-off spot for visitors coming back from Caracol Ruins.

２０メートル以上有る高さの洞窟の天井からはシャンデリアの様な鍾乳石がぶら下がっていたり、部屋くらいあるサイズの岩とが印象的な大規模な洞窟です。洞 窟の前に立ってみると、その洞窟の口の大きさに言葉を失います。思わず中に入ってみたくなる様なベリーズの石灰岩地層を自然のままを楽しめるスポットで す。
マウンテンパインリッジ森林保護区内のオーガスティン村の近くに位置し、カラコル遺跡から戻って来る時の暑さをしのぐ寄り道に最適な場所です。
